Southeastern Clinical Research Institute is ours: more than 200 studies, a weekly research meeting, and certified coordinators. Every physician is an investigator; every patient can be offered a study in the clinic they already visit.

What the calendar looks like for a physician in the group.
A representative week for a Nephrology Associates physician. The mix of clinic, hospital, dialysis rounds and research time is set with you and changes as your practice grows.
Morning rounds with the inpatient team, afternoon clinic at Greene Street or West Augusta.
Unit rounds at the centers our physicians direct. Access, adequacy, and the patients you have followed since CKD stage 3.
Evans, Thomson, Waynesboro or Louisville. Rural CSRA patients see a nephrologist close to home because we drive to them.
Study visits with your SCRI coordinator. The weekly research meeting reviews enrollment, safety and new protocols.
Half-day clinic and administrative time. Call is a shared rotation; when it is not your weekend, it is not your weekend.
Representative schedule. The current template and the call calendar are shared on a first call.
A river city with a medical college, and room to live.
Augusta is the second-largest metro in Georgia, on the Savannah River at the South Carolina line. It is home to the Medical College of Georgia, to Fort Eisenhower and the Army's Cyber Center of Excellence, and, for one week each April, to the Masters. Physicians who move here usually say the same two things: the cost of living, and the drive to everything else.
Downtown Augusta, where our Greene Street office sits, is on the river and the Augusta Canal. The Medical College of Georgia and its health system are a few blocks away. Evans and Columbia County, ten minutes west, are where many of our physicians live. Ask any of us about schools, neighborhoods and the commute; we will tell you what we chose and why.
